1. Our Foundational Privacy Commitment

AVEN (“we”, “our”, or “us”) was established on the principle that intimate, personal dating introductions require absolute confidentiality and respect.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal profile information, chat messages, photos, or location data to third-party data brokers, ad networks, or commercial advertisers. We measure platform health through intentional relationships formed, not by monetizing your attention.

2. Information We Collect

We only collect data necessary to create authentic introductions, maintain platform integrity, and protect member safety:

• Account & Eligibility Data: Email address, phone number (used solely for SMS authentication and account security), date of birth (to verify 18+ eligibility), and password hash.
• Dating Profile Information: Chosen display name, biographical text, prompt answers, relationship intentions, values selections, and uploaded profile photographs.
• Coarse Location Data: When location permissions are granted, your device coordinates are processed strictly to calculate generalized distance bands (e.g. “Within 5 miles”). We employ mathematical anti-trilateration fuzzing and never store or broadcast your exact GPS markers.
• Identity Verification Media: When you elect to verify your profile, we collect a live facial gesture selfie. This media is compared against profile photos to confirm authenticity and is not used for external surveillance or marketing.
• Interaction Data: Introductions sent, likes, passes, mutual matches, chat messages, and reports filed to manage your active dating experience.

3. Anti-Trilateration & Location Privacy

Dating apps have historically suffered from trilateration attacks, where an adversary calculates a member's physical residence by sampling relative distances from three different points.

AVEN mitigates this vector through server-authoritative coordinate coarsening, distance rounding, and random geographic noise. Your exact geographic coordinates are never displayed on public member surfaces.

4. Data Retention and Account Deletion

You own your personal information. When you delete your AVEN account:

• Your public dating profile, prompts, photos, and location markers are permanently purged immediately.
• Pending introductions, outgoing likes, and passes are permanently destroyed.
• Active chat threads are terminated and unlinked from your active profile.
• Trust & Safety Retention Buffer: To protect the community against serial harassers, banned accounts, and repeat bad actors, limited pseudonymous identifiers may be retained in cold storage for safety defense and dispute resolution.
• Financial Anti-Fraud: Store purchase transaction tokens are retained in anonymized form strictly for anti-double-spend and Google Play billing audit verification.

5. Children's Privacy (18+ Strict Policy)

AVEN is strictly restricted to adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 18. If we discover an account registered by a minor, the account and all associated records are terminated immediately.

6. Legal Entity & Governing Terms
